The myQ app told me it was a free connection for the first month and then I had to pay myQ for the privilege of my Tesla being connected. it’s not Tesla. MyQ is offering a 10 yr plan for $299, 5 yr for $179, 1 yr for $45 and monthly for $9.99. I feel myQ thinks Tesla owners will pay through the nose for the automation for our garage doors.
Tesla is also nickel-and-diming by making Homelink an add-on, but at least that involves hardware and installation costs. Integrating MyQ into HomeKit is mostly software.
