Used the factory oil 10W-40 and the factory oil filter. This is the very 1st new bike that I've owned that did NOT require a valve lash check at its first service.I'm thinking of getting a KLR over a Honda Shadow or Yamaha Vstar 650, cause the mexican streets are brutal, potholes, dirt, uneven, big ass street bumps, and my rebel is too low, it scrapes at times.
