Just to chime in (hello everyone by the way!): I have also been seeing it - Acrobat Reader DC x64 - on two different machines, and along the same timelines as this thread:
Personal (home) PC with Windows 10 (home) 2. Old work laptop (Surface) with Windows 10 (corporate) Two above machines had had all updates/upgrades in place, latest version of Adobe Reader DC x64 installed etc. Registry trick worked on my work laptop, had not deployed it on home PC as I was awaiting proper fix.There was an update that pop up while using Adobe DC. I thought it would solve the problem but it made it worse for me. Previously those quite expectedly prompts appeared but nothing much happened.. it seems i could still use and just close the prompt.When opening a PDF form, Acrobat Reader crashes as soon as the cursor is positioned on a fillable field in the form. The form has been in use for a while without issues. Problem just started happening yesterday. Running the most current version of Acrobat Reader on a Windows 10 PC. Resolution. Follow the steps below to perform a clean uninstallation and reinstallation of Acrobat to resolve the issue:-. Delete all Adobe folders located at /Library/Application Support and ~/Library/Application Support. Delete All Adobe preferences from /Library/Preferences and ~/Library/Preferences. The "Acrobat quit unexpectedly" warning popped up with each new PDF I opened but didn't actually make Acrobat quit. Go into the Acrobat/Reader settings and disable the PDF thumbnails. After installing, open the PowerToys settings (double click the taskbar icon), navigate to "File Explorer add-ons" and check the 2 options for Portable Document Format. One option is for the Preview Pane and the other is for Thumbnails icons.
