Rome II is still getting new contents and with the new patch incoming, the graphics look almost as good as Attila, but runs better. It also has a larger playerbase and I assume a lot of good mods. Btw loves WH TW, ~1200 hours. Attila has a much better atmosphere, music and narrative allowing for a bit of roleplaying.}}

Rome 2 is trash. RTW Remastered is unnecessary. If you haven't played either before, go with Rome 2. It is a much better experience at this point in its life cycle. Remember, Rome Remastered is still a game from 2004, with issues that more modern titles have taken care of. AI, path finding, UI, general gameplay have all improved since Rome 1.
