AAC 77Gr OTM is the TRUTH. So I recently built an 18" SPR as my first ever AR. BCM upper w/ 410 stainless (1/8 twist) and a PA GLX 1-6 FFP. Kinda budget, but what I considered a solid entry point for predator hunting. I've been in search of affordable 77Gr and played around with a few cartridges on the market.There are a total of 4 30 cal Sabre Blade Black Tip rounds, the 110gr is probably best described as close to a V-Max, the 125gr, 150gr and 220gr versions are a little closer to a hornady SST. All four are being released in 300 BO and the 150gr is also being released in our 308 series which is being launched early August.

Both very nice velocities and standard deviations. At 500 yards, (we'll have to confirm this again) the 69 gr appeared to have a little edge over the 77 gr. Both of the loads creamed our SMK come up of 3.5 mils. The 77 got there with 2.9 mils, and the 69 gr got there with an even lower 2.7 mils.From my experience, using SR15 Mod1 (CHF CL 16") and SR15 Mod1 LPR (SS 18"), the latest/current 2017 Magtech Green box 77gr OTM is the most consistent/accurate. Damn good shooting at 300. CMMG RECCE-profile 16" barrel, 1:7 mid-length gas, regular 5.56 chamber, chrome-lined, scoped rifle (4X ACOG).PMC X-Tac had gone on numerous one day flash sales at Velocity for $410 to $430 for all of 2023 until the Oct price spike. At today's higher prices of 55 gr this 77 gr OTM ammo is tempting at 55 CPR. It is also tempting versus say 90-some CPR for IMI Razor Core even though I suspect the IMI ammo is better but is IMI worth the delta.

It had a 1:8 twist faxon gunner match barrel, id like to test it other barrels as it's pretty cheap hunting ammo! Their 77gr SMK grouped the best at an average of .75" @ 100 yards (five 5-round groups at 100 yards). 75 gr OTM was second at 1 MOA groups. Pretty awesome for the price! 5.

Tried some today out of a PSA 223 wylde upper. The 55gr blade tip would not cycle the gun and shot about a 2.5 inch group. The 75gr blade tip cycled, but would not do better than 2 inches.
