I craft the helmet from Wintertusk for all my wizards, it has slightly better stats but you must complete the crafting quests though Celestia's seal of the seven seas to be able to craft it.Death wizards do have their drains to increase their survivability, so House of Scales might be nice for the damage boost, but when it comes to facing bosses and higher level dungeons, you'll be glad you chose Waterworks.
