Fatalis weapons are good, but often times I still prefer using Safi weapons. The problem with Fatalis weapons is you have to tenderize and hit weak spots in order to reach 100% affinity, so it’s more comfy and more consistent using a Safi weapon that has neutral affinity at base. You also get more flexibility with Safi weapons.
Then, you can farm safi weapons. I personally hate siege quest, so I went on with raging brachy longsword, used it up to fatalis, although I had to struggle with alatreon due to the elemental dps check, I carted twice due to the escaton judgements, but managed to kill it, then fatalis.
