PSA: Weedeater gets bogged down when trying to go to full throttle. My weed eater was smoking out of the exhaust, two-cycle echo SRM 225. My landlord is also my friend for well over a decade now and he knows a lot more than me where it comes to small engines. He told me that the engine was probably messed up from bad gas/oil and he couldn't fix it.
