I have a 2013 ford escape 2.0L AWD and I the other day I fueled up and the car wouldn’t start and eventually it would idle enough for me to give it gas and then idle was fine. I got home and noticed a check engine light and ran it for codes and got p1450 and p2196.

We have a 2015 Edge SEL 2.0 that is showing code P1450. Anytime we put gas in the car struggles to start for a few minutes. Every video I’ve seen shows to replace the Purge Valve. Jul 23, 2019 · The P1450 is pointing to a problem with the EVAP System's pressure levels. There are a couple of things that can cause this code to set. This can be a faulty EVAP Vent Solenoid, a faulty/clogged EVAP Canister or a faulty fuel tank pressure sensor. More commonly here is the vent solenoid, however each will need to be checked and tested.
