It's a 3-mile hike from the Eastern entrance of the park on Tioga Rd., so six-miles round-trip, with a little over 3000 feet of gain.Planned for a 6 day backpacking trip starting and ending at Cottonwood Pass going up to Whitney, down to Crabtree Lake, up and over the pass and down Miter Basin.
