Seen some crooning about how sweet STI Staccato's are, and I have one on my local Armslist for $1600, new. AL has zero issues with private, no-doc sales (gawd, I LOVE freedom), so it's text, meet, cash-for-gun, drive separate ways -- no need to even know each others' names, like EVERY State should be.

And the mr920 is no where near as good to shoot. Edit: i will say this, while the price of admission is high. They are worth 2k. I know there are more premium 2011's, ive not used them. However, i cannot imagine them being another 1-3k better than a staccato. I know they ARE better...but idk if they are worth the extra money.

Plus, even though I was prepared to spend the extra money on the Staccato, the difference was nearly close to 1k at the store. The S.A. was 1400, and the C2 was 2299. Shot groups with the "tactical front sight" on both C2 and P. Both of them reflect an aggressive 6 o'clock hold. Staccato states I need .285 height front sight. If you get Dawson plates, you have to get front sights as well.. if I would've known this, i would've gotten the CHPWS plate. Was trying to get away from doing too much extra. Will vary ...

I don't see why staccato can't just expand their custom pistol builder. Example, you'd build your pistol from the ground up. 1. Start with grip. P grip, C2 grip, or "X" grip etc. 2. Chose if you want a magwell. 3.Then go to frame. Aluminum, Steel, and have lengths for dust covers. Not sure what CKARMS is getting for a Limited gun now. The Stacatto guns are made to run on factory ammo, which is a good thing, if you can get factory ammo.

I predict the Staccato XC and Sandhawks will take over carry optics in IDPA. They could probably mod the artemis by cutting in a comp into the island signed section. That being said I am in the same boat and just plan on getting an athena because I can run it as an IDPA esp gun, carry optics, and uspsa limit optics without buying 3 guns.

If your into 1911/2011 platforms and want a comp ready, duty ready, carry ready platform, Lifetime transferable warrantee, and just an overall bad ass blaster, get a staccato. We've gotten used to glocks, sigs, S&W, etc and they're all typically $700 or less. But if you want a halfway decent 1911 you're spending 1500 at minimum.
