The rooms at Nomade seem to have a bit more character. Someone here stayed in one of the tent-ish rooms at Nomade and loved it, hopefully she'll come chime in. Both of these are on the wide-open beach that Tulum is famous for, and you can walk for literally miles without seeing a rock, easy to wander off to other restaurants or beach clubs.
