Hi Lori, Thank you for your question. Replacing the cartridge should stop the leak in a 13/14 series faucet. The non ceramic equivalent to the RP74236 cartridge is the RP46074. The cartridge can be replaced through the front of the faucet. There is no need to cut into the wall to access the valve body.
