You're right, length of time to post can really vary from dog to dog and unfortunately, there's no way to predict this. Please read the "ear taping" threads to gain more info. Your puppies ears will have to be taped through his teething days. Even though they may stand for a few days or even a few weeks, once he starts to teeth heavily, they will droop. Cropping is an art. If a vet wants to crop at 3 months you are most likely going to be looking at a terrible crop for as long as you have the dog. Most vets that actually know how to crop do it at 7 thru 9 wks with most cropping at 8 wks. Look Grant up on the internet, take my advice, and go to him.
