The game disappeared from the list and invite did not work. So thanks to the fine work by MeanGramma, my friend and I are playing. My conclusion is that Allow only friends SHOULD allow invites to work. Generally, I would say that is the bug to fix. Though often it is due to the user have 're-packed' a folder, which then creates a zip file with wrong structure.
