So calling an Lectron "EFI like" really triggers me an FCR has more similarities to a EFI Setup . You may also try CV carbs thats bigger than stock 36mm one on drz. Its realy choked down and can handle up to a 40mm CV carb no problem. CV carbs are realy fuel efficent and less sensitive to altitude and temp changes.

They are a great full throttle carby, but doubt they would work well on a dirt bike application. Same experience here. Great drag race carb where max airflow is important, but a real PITA carb when you have lots of throttle transitions. A well tuned FCR is really tough to beat.

Posted March 20, 2018. I have Lectron 38HV on my 2018 250X and love it. Just remember if you have a low end bog, it is lean and need to richen the needle a half turn. I'm at about 1100ft in Oklahoma. I get much better fuel mileage and no spooge unless I'm putting around following my wife on the trails.

Lectron insists this is a tuning issue that can be resolved by raising the slide using the "idle screw" - which creates a lean condition, and then lowering the ... Yes, the Lectron will be a pretty large improvement over a jetted stocker. The stock carburetor is a huge restriction no matter how you jet it. What I didn't like about the Edelbrock was it had a weird feeling that didn't feel seamless across the rev range.Lean it way over to one side. That upset the floats, thus flooding the bowl with more fuel. Cold weather needs more fuel to offset the oxygen density increase. I do it all the time just to make my carb bike start faster. Unloaded, WOT on the highway, I get 35mpg. Fully loaded with camping gear, WOT on the highway, I've gotten as low as 25mpg. The stock carb will jerk and cough when whacking the throttle open at high rpms. The throttle response just doesn't compare to the FCR.
