The footwells are bigger in row 1. There is no galley up front so noise from FAs is not an issue. And the lavs are pretty far from any of the seats, so that’s not really an issue either. The galley on the -200 is between rows 6 and 7. I would suggest being row 1-6 if you can as everyone on the plane goes through rows 7-9 during boarding.
