Course Information. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry offers dozens of undergraduate courses throughout the academic year including core, elective, lab, and research courses. Information on our courses can be found in this section, along with other helpful course-associated information.
If courses or units are dropped, others must be added to maintain the minimum 12 units required to remain in good academic standing. Graduate courses (200 and 500 series) are usually taken. Lower- division courses (numbered 1-99) do NOT count toward the 12 unit minimum, however upper division (numbered 100-199) can be taken if desired.
