I am thinking of making the leap and get a Klose Smoker after about 15 years with a cheap offset. I see that one of the options is a 1/2" thick firebox. I am looking for opinions where to go with the thicker firebox or get the standard 1/4 " and line the box with fire brick (although the brick may make clean out a bit more of a chore).
