Apr 25, 2016. #6. When you say bendix do you mean the starter is just spinning and not kicking the gear up. What did you lube it with if whatever you put on it could be sticking it down. If the motor cranks when you jump it there are a couple of things that it could be, a bad 20 amp fuse, starter solenoid, ignition switch, safety neutral switch, or bad wiring. (I'm assumming the control box is in neutral). The 20 amp fuse is on the motor in a red wire coming off the solenoid. (I would check the fuse first).

The ethanol breaks the hose down and the bits lodge in the small orfices/passages of the carbs on engines up to very early 80's or so. Hose pressure is forcing water up through the engine, not the water pump.
