My computer can run BG3 with certain settings turned down (low shadows, no god rays, no ambient occlusion, etc), but it stills eats up almost all of my memory to run the thing. The game will slow down, I'll have frequent frame drops, and when I load into an area, it takes ages for all the objects/terrain to render in. Some motherboards have a built-in video port as well. Its a common mistake to make. But back on subject I have a GTX 1060 card and my models are slow to load at time as well. I feel like the EA game is bloated (file size wise) and it could cause slow down at times, but that just my opinion.

Slow launch times? I've been trying to figure out why my game takes 1-2 minutes to just show the launcher and then an additional 2-4 to launch the game after clicking "Play". I found that if I exit steam and run the "bg3_dx11.exe" file in the `bin` folder directly then it works as expected loading almost immediately.
Rebooted my computer twice. I still can't get the game to actually start. Go into steam settings > In game, and disable the steam overlay box. fixed the issue for me. So we wont be able to use mods! so sad!
